Improve your fitness. Preserve your health.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, but…

June 25, 2015 by Carolyn Coffin

I love the saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” because it always reminds me how most of life’s worthwhile pursuits take time. But recently I heard a little twist on that classic saying.

“Rome wasn’t built in a day, but they were laying bricks every hour.”

This twist highlights the fact that while we may not achieve our ultimate goals every day, there is always something we can do towards realizing them down the road.

It might be overwhelming to think about eating vegetables at breakfast, for example, but surely you can eat just one carrot stick!

How was Rome built? One brick at a time.

How do you get healthy? One meal at a time.
