If I could snap my fingers and make one dream come true, it would be for people to give eating real food an honest try so they could experience its many benefits.
Back in January I led a 2-Week Real Food Challenge with my Facebook community where we did just that. 130 courageous people ditched sugar, wheat, and high-refined vegetable oils for vegetables, fruit, lean protein, healthy fat and dark chocolate. And in 14-days (or less!) here’s what people reported:
- Steadier hunger / energy levels; no afternoon crashes or yawning
- Sleeping like a baby
- Improved digestion
- Less irritable / moody
- No more achy joints
- Clearer skin
- Feeling slimmer / less bloated
- Feeling satisfied with natural sweetness (fruit); less inclined to reach for ice cream
- Being better equipped to handle disappointment / setbacks in life.
Now imagine if they did it for life!
One of the most common reasons I hear for not giving this simple but powerful human health experiment a try is that people think it’s too hard.
They think they don’t have the time.
They think they don’t have the culinary skills.
They think they’ll be eating bland or boring food.
But none of this is true! You can eat real, whole, unprocessed, nutrient dense food that not only tastes delicious, but can be prepared in next to no time with virtually zero culinary talent.
